How would you feel if I say that, it was all about to
damage us by turning all of us from Uglies to Pretties? I am totally against
this program. It is just governments’ wish to manipulate citizens. They only
show the good effects of the program to the people that they are going to
adjust in order to use them. I want to talk about myself a little bit. I’m
David. Az and Maddy are my parents. I was born in the Smoke so I’m not like the
others. I love a girl named Tally. I feel exhausted in the times I don’t see
her.

I know much about the operations. This is a brutal thing to do on people.
My parents, Az and Maddy, were doing this operations in special circumstances a
long time ago. So I know everything about the operations.

Later on they stopped doing the operations because it
damages brain. I told my friends that “You can’t know for sure how something
like this will work. It’s only a one-percent chance, but it could screw up her
brain forever” (Westerfeld, 333). Later, my friends glared at me. I was right.
I want none of my friends, their friends to have the operation because it is
not fair. Once I said, “I think you are more beautiful than Shay” (262) to
Tally because I love the way she is. Having the operation might make her a
Pretty but that doesn’t mean that she completely changes. This operation is
irremediable.

To conclude, I believe that this operation is
governments wish for manipulating citizens of the community. I derived information
about the operations from my family since they took part in special
circumstances. So I’m against the operations.
